Established in 1992, the Office for Grants, Endowments, and Partnerships in Higher Education (OGEP) is the implementing arm of the UST Research and Endowment Foundation, Inc. (REFI). The Office is under the supervision of the Office of the Rector, and is mandated to provide and maintain the ways and means by which the Foundation can attain its objectives in coordination with the听Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, the听Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, the Vice-Rector for Finance, and other concerned University offices.
The OGEP works toward the cultivation of mutually beneficial ties with educational and funding institutions. It taps the assistance of institutions and alumni in providing endowments that may be used to enhance the institutional capabilities, faculty development, scholarship, research, and community development projects of UST.

Concise and updated curriculum vitae of the applicant

Publication of the delivered Professorial Chair (PC) lectures, preferably in an ISI- or SCOPUS-indexed journal

Awarding Procedure
Travel grants support faculty members to represent the University either as main or plenary speaker or contributing paper presenter (oral or poster) in International/National Conferences/Symposia related to their field of discipline or to attend training workshops/short courses in their line of specialization. Travel grants, as a rule, cover partial financial support for RETURN ECONOMY AIRFARE (including Philippine travel and departure taxes). Conference registration fee and accommodation expense are charged against the College鈥檚 faculty development funds. Other costs such as passport/visa application fees and per diem* allowance are at the expense of the Grantee.

Documentary Requirements听
All documents should be submitted to the OGEP at least one (1) month before the expected date of departure to give ample time for the processing of the application. Failure to comply with this requirement means outright disapproval of the application.
Approval of the Travel Grant
Travel grants are subject to the availability of funds and the approval of the REFI President. The OGEP will take charge of the flight booking arrangement.
Obligations of the Grantee
A Travel Grant is awarded to the same person only once every two (2) academic years and subject to the terms stipulated above. Applicants shall reimburse the amount incurred by the OGEP for any cancellation for a processed/finalized travel grant.
Per Diem Allowance
Per diem living allowance may be granted ONLY when the conference organizers or an external funding agency provide the grantee with free return airfare ticket and/or accommodation. It shall cover only the duration of the conference or a maximum of five (5) days.

Obligation of the Grantee听
The Grantee shall abide by the Memorandum of Agreement and all existing rules and regulations of the University governing study grants.
