In partnership with the Nueva Ecija Medical Society (NEMS) and the local government of Talavera, Nueva Ecija, the (CRS) and UST CRS Alumni Association recently conducted a community service extension titled β€œWatch your Back, A Scoliosis Screening ΎΕΙ« Extension Service Activity.” The activity provided a screening examination among the grade school students for the early detection and prevention of scoliosis.Β 

This is the first collaboration between the UST College of Rehabilitation Sciences and the Municipality of Talavera headed by Mayor Nerivi Santos Martinez, an alumnus of CRS. The project was spearheaded by Asst. Prof. Jocel M. Regino, and Assoc. Prof. Rosalynn D. Papa, M.D.

The project, spearheaded by the Nueva Ecija Medical Society and in coordination with the local government of Talavera, catered to pupils from Talavera Central School, Talavera North Elementary School, Talavera South Elementary School, and Schola Christi, Inc.

Leading the UST group were Asst. Prof. Jocel Regino and Dr. Rosalynn Papa of theΒ . The activity was the first time that CRS collaborated with Nueva Ecija officials.
